This book offers a comprehensive analysis of Morocco’s volcanic and geothermal heritage, highlighting an exceptional geodiversity and significant scientific interest for the geological and geoheritage community. It contributes to the establishment of a national inventory by presenting an up-to-date overview of current knowledge on Moroccan volcanism and geothermal features.

The work explores in depth the conceptual and definitional aspects related to geoheritage and geodiversity, as well as the methodological approaches applied to the selection, inventory, evaluation, and mapping of geosites.
